Charitible Work Policy

This is a subject close to my heart. I have a strong desire to help and I believe it to be eminently possible to balance things sensibly.

From 21st March 2009, Catseye Press will cease to pay for advertising and will, instead, spend all our advertising budget helping local charities by giving of our printed goods. We are a very small business, so it would be pointless to offer too much to too many, but we will do our best, for those local charities about which we feel strongest.

There have to be conditions. For us, the key is Personal Contact. I like to think that every individual has the ability to tell someone about us. Please think of us every time you hear the word "printing", and just say the words"Catseye Press" - outloud.

All charities have paid-for printing done now and again. I would like to think that the charities, we have supported will come to us for the work, for which they normally pay.

Charities also have volunteers.
These are the people with the most influence in all the world. More affective than any Government! These are the people with the real power for good. I would like to think that all volunteers are encouraged to think of us in their lives outside the charity. When they are planning their marriages, I would hope that they would think "Aha! Catseye Press did a good job for my charity; I will use them for my Wedding Stationery",
when the company for whom they work needs printing, I would like to think that they would recommend Catseye Press.
When they hear that their children's school needs t-shirts or other fabrics or business or security printing, I would hope that they would pick up the phone or mention face to face that Catseye Press would be a good place to enquire.

If we could re-direct all of our advertising-spend to charities, asking only that those charities actively promote us amongst their own voluteers, we would be absolutely delighted.
