Amazingly! after meeting with us and going home people often find a reason, an excuse why they cant, wont, make their Wills, not just yet anyway! Here is what people sometimes say when we telephone them!

1. My husband wife says we don't need to do that! I am not ready to die yet! (is anyone)
2. My husband says we will use a solicitor (knowing full well he won't take the time off work 2 or 3 times to get it done)!
3. Its tempting fete! (Don't be silly you're an adult now)
4. I don't want to think about that! (Don't be silly you're an adult now)
5. We have just got so much going on! (They can't think of a good excuse! It takes only a second to say YES and about 15 minutes to give me the information)
6. We have not done anything about it yet! (of course you haven't! you have put it off for the past ten years and its us that's going to help you with it anyway)
7. I have not discussed it with my husband yet (It's a hard thing to discuss that's why you need our guidance and encouragement)
8. We are moving soon and will do it then! (No you wont)
9. We are changing our mortgage soon we will do it then (No you wont)
10. My husband is changing his job soon we will sort it out then (No you wont)
11. My daughter is pregnant we will wait until she has her baby! (Why?)
12. My daughter is in Australia for 6 months we will wait to see what she thinks when she gets home! (Rubbish, you are just procrastinating)
13. Moneys tight (Yes we know it is but you can pay monthly over 12 months or with 2 or 3 post dated cheques, whatever suits your budget please just ask and we will say yes)
14. My bank does them free (No chance! Read the small print, details on our website)
15. We don't know what we want to do (well you best make a decision otherwise you won't have a say in it! Anyway if you change your mind we will change it free in the first 2 years)
16. I don't know who to ask to look after my Parrott / Dog / Cat / Budgie if I die! (No one will look after them if you don't make a Will and sort it out now)
17. I don't know if to be buried or cremated! (It does not need to be mentioned in a Will but if you don't say now you wont have a choice, however old you live to be)
18. Its Christmas, Easter, Snowing, Children's holidays (its always something)
19. Or they just wont answer the telephone (because they cant think of a good excuse)
20. Or they say 'I am just on the way out, call me tomorrow'! Then they don't answer the telephone (because they cant think of a good excuse)
21. It's too late! (It's often too late but never too soon)
